bitBiome is adopted as a project of MAFF (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries) for encouraging entrepreneurship promotion of university-initiated start-ups.
This project is aimed at the implementation of society through entrepreneurship and business based on research and technology seeds that contribute to solving problems faced by agriculture, forestry and fisheries and food industries at universities, etc. MAFF provides various support necessary for the establishment and commercialization of start-up companies.
There are 31 applications for this project, 3 of which have been selected.
Utilizing our technology “Microbial genome analysis using single cell technology”, we will clarify the relationship between uncultivated or unknown environmental microorganisms in soil and agricultural, forestry and fishery products, and open up areas such as microbial fertilizers and pesticides.
